Kim Hughes "Chubby Chum Pals"
I made a card!
Man, oh man.
I stamped out some images last month.
Really had all the intention in the world to color them.
Things got busy.
Son left.
Life got busy, again.
Missing him.
Writing and sending cards to keep him "Army strong!"
Got a call from him last night.
Cried this morning.
Miss him dearly.
Got on with my day.
Cheered up.
Colored.
Guess that's how life goes.
It just keeps going.
(Thank you my friends for all the sweet words of encouragement. Hugs.)
I am so very proud of your son! My younger brother is in the USAF. What they do for all of us every day to have freedom is outstanding. Take care...

Oh my goodness you stamped and it looks so cute. I bet it was fun cause there was not all that pressure that you felt before.
Thank you and your son. My best friends son just finished up with basic and is on to more training. I can empathize with what you are feeling cause I just watched her go through it.
She was also able to stay in touch well not really but to see what is going on via facebook groups with other moms and watch his group. It was a little comforting I suppose. you are right so much different than before when they just left and you didn't see them for 8 weeks. I pray that you meet some army mom friends and that this time goes by swiftly for you.
Hugs to you.

good to see you creating cards again, having a loved one far away sure gets you in the mood to send them something special than just a store bought card :) This one is just too cute.... Believe me it gets easier.... the missing them so much, hang in there!

I hope that making your son cards helps to heal your heart a little bit. Congrats on being "back in the saddle". You've been sorely missed!

Hi Asela,
I'm one of your former students from Donna's and I've been following your blog. You've been doing a great job of knitting and there's a radio station in Jax:88.1 FM (Klove.com); they've been asking for knitters to contact them to send knitted sweaters and hats to Africa so you were the first one I thought of. I'm gonna keep you and your family in my prayers.

This is really cool, creativity really makes it great, plus the idea of the creator. Love it. :)
