I have been steadily working on putting together Halloween cards for my Etsy store. I love creating cards for Halloween. And the funny part is I never send any or really celebrate the season. But I love the images and the color combos. It's just for fun.
I used this cute Penny Black stamp for the main image. I colored him in using Copic Markers. Sorry I didn't keep track of the colors. When I'm in my Zone I tend to color a ton of images at once, grabbing this color and that color and just following my muse. I understand how important it is for you to know exactly what I used but please understand that sometimes I'm not that meticulous when it comes to coloring in images and really don't follow any set of rules. Oh you know, this color coordinates with that color and you should always use this color over that color. Naw, not me!
I have all of my Copic Ciao markers (I now own all 144! Yippee) organized by color families. I just grab what I think will look good with something according to the color on the cap. Since the cap color is almost identical to the ink it really is easy to judge what will look good with what. I also always have a scrap piece of paper (same as the one I am going to color on) next to the stamped image. I try the marker there first and any other color that I think would look good with it on the scrap paper before I commit to coloring the image.
When I do not "Zone Out" while coloring I try my best to keep track of the colors I am using. If I do have the color chart handy I may even try to match it to the colored in the image to atleast give you some reference to what I have used. But understand that often I blend a lot! And in so doing I may have used 4-6 colors in one single area! Anyways, not trying to make excuses for not listing my Copic Markers when I upload (well-yea I am! LOL) just hoping you will forgive me and try to understand that the artist in me sometimes gets a bit spacey and in the grove and completely forgets to keep track of what I'm doing.
In order to get that watercolor look for the spider tag I used Copics new very, very light marker Y0000 instead of the Blender. That way it didn't wash the area out but deposited yellow into it. I also used it as my brush to pick up a darker yellow. Working it in. And then diluting it more again with the Y0000.
Well, hope some of the jibber jabber is helpful and again, when I can remember (and with hormonal fluxes working against me-it gets harder and harder) I'll do my best to list the colors I use.
Cross my heart! I'll try to do better.
Asela Love this card! You made me laugh today when you mentioned how much you love making Halloween cards, but rarely send them! Me tooo! LOL

what a terribly cute card :) I love halloween images as well, I think they should be good all year round! And no, I don't think I've ever actually sent one to a real person (as opposed to a magazine..).
But I do love em to make Calendar pages, and calendars are wonderful gifts too!
Your coloring of course is out of this world..... love your play with the tones from the DP, very clever :)
