Wife, Mom, and Artist

I was born in Havana, Cuba in 1963 and immigrated to New York, USA in 1965. We then moved to Maryland were I grew up.

Asela is easy to pronounce in Spanish, but if you can't you can pronounce it Ah-say-la (that's as close as I can get!) I was named after my fathers sister who died at the age of 3. She was named after the patron saint of her birthdate on December 8th.

I have always been an artist. Some of my earliest memories are of the drawings that I created. Art has always been a part of my life.

I have a degree in Fine Arts and spent 7 years as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator.

Since becoming a SAHM (which is a the best job I have ever had.) I spend my days finding snipets of time to create. I discovered stamping September of 2004 when I went to a Stampin'Up! party. I signed up as a Hobby demo. I have enjoyed learning this new craft and hope to continue to grow as a paper craft artist. I find it very challenging. It would be so much easier to just draw something than having to put all the elements together. Sometimes it works for me, other times...well...lol...NOT!
